A 5th grade math problem

My sis sent me a math quiz this weekend to solve - the catch was I had to use the answer to the problem to open a password protected excel sheet that was included in the e-mail. Never being good at math decided to try anyway:

There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

* There are no bus drivers on the bus so no need to calculate that.

Finally got it correct on my third try - did say I was no good at math!

Fantastic Denise,
As far as I am concerned the maths is a pretty decent exercise for the brain.
My dread is not the maths but the idea of packing 56 cats in a single backpack.Huh? Heheehee!
Btw,leaving 7 girls in a single bus by themselves is pretty formidable, but to throw 2744 kitties in the equation is tantamount to inciting 10990 girlie melees. No?

Ok, so how long did it take you to work that out Posekyere? Of course it's the right answer! Have always been scared of math - which I know its a bit silly as once you know the formulas then the rest just fits. Hmmm, should find some more math teasers to give the brain a shake up - or should I say fat chance to parody your post.

It took me two minutes max.
I love maths. It has always been my strongest subject since primary school.
Whenever you have time, do a bit of SUDOKU. It is a sure way to keep the brain cells turbocharged.
