Ghana@50





Was nice to see Ghanaians rally round the red, gold, black and green ( remember Aswad's song?) - took loads of pics, and these are some of my fav.
Couldn't help but getting into the spirit of things as Ghanaians really celebrated their Independence day - after all Ghana was the first African country to achieve this status. The day itself - March 6th - saw everything ranging from pomp and pageantry to just downright 'getting on bad' at the beach and everywhere else.
Fun stuff aside it's sobering to realise just how much - or how little depending on your point of view - has changed over the past 50 years. Curious to see what the next 50 will bring.
